My name is John Eikemeyer and I am the only person who is behind the photos of Jikemeyer Photography. I have grown up in the Santa Cruz area and grew my photography business here as well. I aspire to take photos solely for others and not only for my own pleasure. I will try to capture what my clients envision to the best of my abilities.

I have been taking photos throughout my life. I seem to have a good eye for things and can be kind of picky when it comes to taking photos that I’d consider “good”. Nevertheless, I’ve based my photography philosophy on beauty. We all have our own subjective view on what is beautiful so I try to express the beauty I see in things by taking photos and turning them into pieces of art for others to enjoy. I believe beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I tend to think some people have strict views on what they think is beautiful. I only ask for those people to open their eyes to the possibility that beauty could be in everything that surrounds us. Life is art and that art is beautiful. let me show you how I view life.
